刘唱是一位艺术家、艺术教育工作者、纽约大学Tisch艺术学院客座教授,写作者,【明日博物馆】播客主理人。先后毕业于普瑞特艺术学院及纽约大学帝诗(Tisch)艺术学院交互通信专业(NYU-ITP),取得M.P.S硕士该领域终极学位,并授予纽约大学荣誉校友。

刘唱近年来致力于博物馆前沿交互科技,生成艺术,AI艺术,算法与编程艺术等研究方向。她曾多年任教于NYU-ITP及上海纽约大学交互媒体艺术系(IMA), 担任艺术学助理教授。刘唱也在纽约皇后区博物馆, 帕森斯艺术学院, School of Machine(Berlin) , 同济大学, 上海交通大学等开设课程。 

刘唱的艺术作品关注自然与科技的关系,于数字媒介和物理材料间寻找联结,并将新兴科技作为媒介与艺术语言。她曾在纽约举办过两次个展,她的作品也曾展出于中国国家博物馆,上海当代艺术博物馆(PSA), 浦东美术馆, 今日美术馆, A4美术馆,何香凝美术馆,华美术馆, OCAT当代艺术中心, London Carroll/Flectch Gallery,  成都当代艺术美术馆等。

刘唱的作品及艺术评论曾刊登于《上海日报》、《Yishu》、《艺术世界》,《艺术评论》,《Artforum》等媒体/书刊。作为作者,她也为学术期刊、独立杂志,大众报刊撰文,文章曾刊于《Adjacent Journal》,《BWJ水象》杂志,《国家地质杂志》(中文版),《ELLE世界时装之苑》,《NOWNESS》等。刘唱播客的同名书籍《明日博物馆》也将于 2024 年出版。【明日博物馆】播客自 2023 年开播以来,已收获数千位订阅量,并受到广泛关注。

Liu Chang is an artist, an art educator, and a podcast host. Currently, Chang teaches at NYU-Tisch School of Arts as an adjunct professor of Interactive Media Arts. She graduated from NYU - ITP in 2016. She has taught at NYU-ITP, NYU Shanghai as an Assistant Professor of Arts, and also lectured at Queens Museum, Parsons School, School of Machine, Tongji University, and Shanghai Jiaotong University, etc.

Chang’s artwork explores connections between digital media and physical (fine art) mediums and creates dynamic conversations. Her work has been exhibited at top museums and galleries all over the world and featured in many worldwide magazines and art journals. Her work has been exhibited at the National Museum of China, PSA Shanghai, Pudong Museum of Art, Today Art Museum, Currents Festival, Sao Paulo Cultural Center, TANK Shanghai, A4 Art Museum, HeXiangNing Museum, OCAT Shenzhen, Hua Museum, Carroll/Fletcher Gallery, etc. Her work has been featured in many worldwide magazines and art journals, such as 《YISHU, 《ARTFORUM》, 《ART REVIEW》, 《ART WORLD》, etc.

Chang’s research is dedicated to museum technology and experiential design for future museums, as well as generative art, involving emerging media such as computational tools, algorithmic art, and AIGC art. 

Chang also writes articles for academic journals, and magazines, such as 《Adjacent Journal》(NYU),《Bewater Journal》,《The National Geography 》,《ELLE》,《Nowness》, etc. In 2024, Chang’s first book titled 《Tomorrow Museum》will be published.

In 2023, Chang started her pan-cultural podcast channel called “Tomorrow Museum”, which focuses on topics around art and technology, exhibitions in museums, and also cultural topics related to society. The podcast is becoming popular and has more than 3000+ subscribers, which can be found in Apple Podcast and Spotify too.
